Profile

Prof. Frese`s research spans a wide range of basic and applied topics within organizational behavior and work psychology, e.g., innovation, error management, training (error management training, leadership training and training to improve entrepreneurial success and personal initiative). Most recently, he has done studies on cultural factors in organization and across nations, research that looks at psychological success factors in entrepreneurs in developing countries (Africa, Latin America, and Asia) and in Europe.

He has authored more than 135 peer reviewed journal articles and ca 200 book chapters, and was editor/author of more than 25 books and special issues. His work is frequently cited (citation count (Google Scholar) above 21,000; H-index = 74).

Prof. Frese received several awards: In 2015 he received the Distinguished Scientific Contributions Award by the Society of Industrial and Organizational psychology. he was elected as member of the German Academy of Sciences (Leopoldina); he is a Fellow in the following organizations: Academy of Management, Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (Division 14 of APA), Association for Psychological Science, and International Association of Applied Psychology.
