Luis Goncalves-Pinto is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance at National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School. He is also an affiliated Researcher at NUS Centre for Quantitative Finance and at the NUS Risk Management Institute. Previously, he was a Lecturer at the University of Southern California and at the Technical University of Lisbon in Portugal.

Dr Goncalves-Pinto`s research interests include delegated portfolio management, managerial compensation and incentives, information and liquidity in financial markets, limits of arbitrage and return predictability. His recent research featured in the Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal Market Watch, and Bloomberg Television, and has been invited for presentation to the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

His work has been presented at leading academic conferences worldwide, and has been acknowledged with a number of awards, including the 2014 CAMRI Applied Finance Research Award; the New Zealand Superannuation Fund Award for Best Paper (Runner-Up) at the 2012 Auckland Finance Meeting; the SAC Capital PhD Candidate Award for Outstanding Research at the 2010 Western Finance Association Meetings; and the Laws and Economics Consulting Group (LECG) Prize for Best Overall Conference Paper by a PhD Student, presented at the 2009 European Finance Association Meetings.  [more]
